COVID-19 guidance

Living safely with COVID-19 and other respiratory infections

COVID-19 guidance has been updated and this is what it means to us all:

  • it is no longer a legal requirement to self-isolate following a positive test, or if you are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, however the guidance remains to stay at home and avoid contact with other people
  • self-isolation support payments have ended
  • the medicine delivery service is no longer be available
  • the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No. 3) Regulations have been revoked. We will continue to manage local outbreaks of COVID-19 in high risk settings as we do with other infectious diseases

Find out how this affects you by visiting GOV.UK – Living safely with respiratory infections, including COVID-19.

Booster vaccine

A coronavirus (COVID-19) booster vaccine dose helps improve the protection you have from your first two doses of the vaccine. You can get a booster dose if you had a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least three months ago. It helps give you longer-term protection against getting seriously ill from COVID-19. Find out more including who is eligible at NHS – Coronavirus booster vaccine.

The Autumn Booster Programme is now being delivered to anyone aged 50 and over and others who are in a clinical risk group. There are regular drop in clinics taking place which you can attend and walk in without needing to book an appointment. These clinics are offering different vaccines so please check you attend the correct clinic for the vaccine that you need.

To find out where and when these clinics are, please visit the COVID-19 vaccine drop in clinics.

When attending a pop-up vaccination clinic please take the following information with you:
